POST OFFICE 1930, KOŠICE, KOŠICE

Our KLIMAK team started the implementation of another new project in Košice in June of this year, called Post Office 1930. It involves the reconstruction of the premises that formerly housed the Postal and Telegraph Office, which is considered a significant functionalist monument and has been declared a National Cultural Heritage site. The new owner of the complex plans to restore its multifunctional character.

The reconstruction of the building, as well as our work, will be carried out gradually in several phases. Currently, in the first phase, we are working on Block C, which will house the Administrative Court of Košice starting from September of this year. We are responsible for all our professions on this project – air conditioning, cooling, heating, and plumbing. Specifically, from an air conditioning perspective, comfort in the premises on the 1st floor will be ensured by four air conditioning units from Carrier, each with a capacity of 1,800 m3/h. Cooling will be provided by three Samsung VRV systems with hydro modules, with a capacity of 50 kW. The primary heat source for the building will be the existing heat exchange station. Heat and cooling will then be distributed throughout the building using 85 one-way fan coil units.
